Rockstar Announces GTA III: 10th Anniversary Edition for Select Mobile Devices & Claude Action Figure
Rockstar Games have just come out with a somewhat surprising announcement, albeit quite a cool one. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the release of Grand Theft Auto III, Rockstar will be releasing a mobile version of the game for a select few mobile devices (check the list below to see if it is coming to yours). As of yet there are no details on exactly how the game will differ from the original version, but judging by the power of modern mobile devices it's quite likely it will be fully 3D just like the original.
Rockstar point out that if you’re in the NYC area and heading to New York Comic Con, you can stop by their booth where mobile versions of the game will be available to play! You'll also be able to tour an exclusive gallery featuring the game’s signature art, and have chances to win the special anniversary edition Grand Theft Auto III and Rockstar Games gear.

In addition to the game, Rockstar also announced a limited-edition action figure of Claude, the protagonist of GTA III. It's been created by renowned collectible manufacturer Sideshow, and will be available for pre-order in limited quantities at the Rockstar Warehouse. See a slideshow of images below.

Well, judging from what the Adreno GPU-powered Droids can do, and from what R* Leeds did with cramming Liberty and Vice to the PSP, it isn't that surprising to see Claude running amok on a mobile.
And I'd love to get myself a Claude action figure, if only that it wasn't too expensive. Might end up spending my bananas on an American Girl doll if that's the case... 
I just saw mention of half of that, is that all they planned? Either way, for GTA 3 buffs, a nice treat, but GTA 3 is fatally flawed basically, not the best GTA it could have been, but DMA to Rockstar North was in transition and the PS2 platform was not yet evolved, but I, like others, hope they could do something to remedy that, using the RAGE and Euphoria engine

I love this game! I remember playing it ten years ago! I was 8 at the time. The best game i have ever played.
I am switching to a cell phone, but one unlikely to support games and such, any ideas from the Verizon store perhaps?? A phone for around ?
If you're gonna go with the Verizon store, you'd need to get an Android device on the list, and it's gonna run you over and you'd need to get a data plan as well. As it said on the first post, the supported phones are: Droid X2, HTC Evo 2, LG Optimus 2X, Motorola Atrix, Samsung Galaxy S2
A phone alone won't work, I hope to get enough funds to get the PSP2, aka PSVita
As far as what my folks would get me for a phone, I'd hoped something NEW enough to cover the new apps, etc. But it's unlikely
